Vogue Williams sets record straight on Spencer Matthews relationship status as she breaks silence on divorce rumours
Vogue Williams has publicly denied rumours of a split from her husband Spencer Matthews, taking to Instagram to address the speculation that has been circulating in recent weeks.
The presenter and podcaster shared a statement with her 1.1 million followers on Wednesday evening, beginning with a tongue-in-cheek tone: “It’s with great sadness that I have to let you know that Spen and I are NOT breaking up!”
Williams, 39, accompanied her statement with a montage of photos showing the couple together throughout various stages of their relationship.
The media personality said she normally avoided addressing such rumours but felt compelled to speak out as the speculation continued to persist.
In her statement, Williams expressed frustration at the persistent nature of the split rumours.
“I usually avoid addressing baseless and cruel rumours but this just keeps coming up,” she wrote.
The Irish presenter voiced particular concern about the impact these false claims might have on her children.
“It’s disappointing to see this narrative being pushed almost daily when it’s absolutely not true and much more importantly I don’t want my children hearing these lies in the playground,” Williams stated.

She added that the couple were unsure about the source of the speculation.
“We’re not sure what the angle is or where it’s coming from but the whole thing feels very strange and mean,” she said.
Williams concluded her post with a firm declaration: “We’re very happily married and in love and I hope posting the truth on my own platform might make it stop.”
Williams and Matthews have been married since 2018 and share three children together – Theodore, six, Gigi, four, and Otto, two.
The couple previously co-hosted their own namesake podcast, Spencer and Vogue, until earlier this year when Matthews decided to step back.
Spencer left the podcast in January to pursue other business interests and focus on upcoming challenges, with Williams’ sister Amber taking over as co-host.
Speculation about their relationship appears to have intensified after Williams did not make a post acknowledging their relationship anniversary on social media.
Earlier in March, Williams had revealed on the Netmums Podcast that she had “had enough” following a “tiff” with Spencer over home workloads.
She explained at the time: “I would say I do 80 percent of what [goes on]. We’ve actually been having a slight little tiff about that this morning.”
Matthews himself responded to the rumours with a light-hearted comment on his wife’s Instagram post.
“Some of the articles are quite funny to be fair,” he wrote, maintaining a humorous tone about the situation.
The couple received an outpouring of support from friends and fans in the comments section.
TV personality Ferne McCann wrote: “Good for you standing up for your family and sharing the truth.”
Author Louise O’Neill commented: “Vogue, the first sentence of this!!!!”
Virgin Media presenter Muireann O’Connell added a humorous note, writing: “As the great Samantha Mumba would say, they can all choke on a bag of [aubergine emoji].”

Fans echoed these sentiments with one writing: “My heart for a minute there when I saw the ‘it’s with great sadness’! Jaysus Vogue.”
