Reuben Owen sparks Our Yorkshire Farm fan frenzy as he shares huge TV project update with girlfriend Jessica Ellwood
Reuben Owen is set to reprise his solo series following the success of last year’s programme.
The 21-year-old farmer launched Our Life in the Dales in 2024, and fans have been hoping for new episodes since it ended – which now seem to have been confirmed.
In a post on social media, a behind-the-scenes snap of Owen with girlfriend Jessica Ellwood was shared by a fish and chip shop, who didn’t waste the opportunity to share a famous face dining in the eatery.
Pictures show Owen smiling for the camera alongside Ellwood, with the caption reading: “It was great to have Reuben and his crew in today filming and catching a bite to eat.
“After spending some time filming on the beach, they joined our chefs in the kitchen for some more filming before enjoying some food.
“You can check out what they got up to on Rueben: Life in the Dales on Channel 5 #seaside #thefishermanswifewhitby #fishandchips.” (sic)
While no official announcement has been made or release date provided for the new episodes, it seems safe to assume the Channel 5 series will continue given the eatery’s post.
The update sent fans into a frenzy as they quickly hopped to the comments section to ask about the new show, with others sharing their excitement at catching a glimpse of the couple.

“When will the episode be on tv?” a second asked, with others taking to Owen’s Instagram account to probe him on the future of the show.

The first series of Life on the Dales saw the youngster as he navigated life on and off the farm alongside his friend Tommy and his ex, Sarah Dow.
The former couple split last year, with viewers who had grown fond of watching the pair on screens together left disappointed.
However, Owen assured fans he and Dow were “still good pals” when he appeared on ITV’s Lorraine in 2024.
Months later, he went public with his new girlfriend, fellow farmer Ellwood.
His recent Instagram posts indicate the two are enjoying a happy relationship, with the young couple often venturing out of the dales to enjoy days out and also working together on the farm.
