Noughties Channel 4 sitcom star, 43, unrecognisable in rare red carpet outing 15 years after comedy show ended
Scrubs star Eliza Coupe has sparked concern among fans after appearing almost unrecognisable at the premiere of Netflix’s The Residence in Hollywood.
The 43-year-old actress, who played Dr Denise Mahoney in the hit medical sitcom, made a rare red-carpet appearance at The Egyptian Theatre on Wednesday night.
Nearly 15 years after Scrubs concluded on ABC in the USA and Channel 4’s E4 in the UK, Coupe’s dramatic transformation left many fans doing a double take.
Her changed appearance has even prompted worried reactions on social media, with some expressing concern about her more gaunt look.
The actress turned heads in a plunging metallic gold dress that shimmered under the bright lights of the premiere.
She paired the striking frock with knee-high black suede boots and draped a luxurious black mink coat over her shoulders.
Her blonde locks were styled sleek and straight, with a trendy fringe framing her face just above her eyes.
A sultry smoky eye and soft nude lips completed her look, adding to the dramatic impact of her appearance.
Her visible tattoos on her chest and arms were also on display in the strappy outfit.
Coupe first rose to fame in the final seasons of Scrubs, where she played Denise Mahoney, an intern-turned-resident at Sacred Heart Hospital.
