ITV 99 to Beat fans growing tired of ‘giggling halfwits’ Adam and Ryan Thomas as they ‘warn’ Ant and Dec

ITV 99 to Beat viewers have aired their annoyance at hosts Ryan and Adam Thomas and claimed that fav-favourite presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have “nothing to worry about”.

This week, 63 players remained and were challenged with another set of tasks that left many in tears and feeling the pressure.

The first challenge was to knock over a balloon that was balanced on a podium by pinging elastic bands at it.

The second challenge was to balance 10 nails on top of another single nail, which saw Ryan attempt to complete the task and was sabotaged by his brother.

For the team challenge, the contestants were asked to flip pancakes to one another one by one, with the first three teams getting to three pancakes getting through.

One of the last tasks was to guess the number of dry peas that were placed inside a glass bottle, with Ryan and Adam once again having a go at the task.

Whilst the contestants were enjoying the enthusiasm from the brothers, viewers at home weren’t in agreement.

Taking to their X account, one fumed: “Is a new low for Saturday night TV. 2 giggling halfwits as presenters, unbearable over the top contestants.

Crying because they can’t balance some nails. Morons.”

Another added: “POV of the job centre work coach when these two get sacked from their Saturday job.”

A third noted: “Sorry #99ToBeat I like the brothers separately, but it’s giving me flashbacks to when my sons were young and got too wound up.”

Some referred to the Thomas brothers as “trying” to be like Ant and Dec, leaving someone to pen: “Are the Ant & Dec tribute act even in the room.”

The Thomas brothers must be really worrying Ant and Dec, with their presenting skills,” someone sarcastically wrote before another said: “Ant and Dec have less than nothing to worry about.”

Not all were left agitated by their love for the show, as one user said: “To see these two brothers having the time of their life whilst watching the contestants enjoy their time is a joy.” (sic)

This isn’t the first time that viewers have expressed their dislike for the brothers’ presenting skills, as last week they issued a similar verdict.

Ryan and Adam have been keen for fans to like the “new and fresh” idea of the show and previously said: “’It’s new, it’s fresh, it’s fun and we can’t wait for people to see it!

“It really is the ultimate family show, and so we couldn’t be more excited to be hosting it together, as a family. It’s a dream come true for us.

“We can already imagine people at home playing these games with their families as it’s fun/silly/competitive and heartfelt.”
