Danny Jones breaks social media cover with cryptic quote hours after wife’s first post amid Maura Higgins scandal
Danny Jones has finally broken his silence and returned to social media with a series of story posts to celebrate his birthday today – marking the first Instagram display since his Brits “kiss” with Maura Higgins.
A video emerged after the glamorous evening of Jones and Higgins getting close to one another and pecking each other on the lips – before reportedly partying the night away and drinking together until 6am.
Neither pair has addressed the allegations, and reports have emerged that Jones has been given a “final warning” amid “crisis talks” with his wife, Georgia Horsley.
The couple have been married since 2014 and share seven-year-old son, Cooper, who Horsley has reportedly been focused on trying to “protect from all this madness.”
On Tuesday morning, Horsley broke her silence and posted a touching image of her son on her Instagram account.
The black and white snap of her son was accompanied by a simple caption of a blue love-heart emoji.

Horsley refused to address her husband’s scandal, with many of her close friends rushing to share their love and concern for the star – before she eventually turned the comments off on all her posts.
Today, Jones finally broke his silence on the photo-sharing platform to celebrate his 39th birthday, sharing posts from those who had sent their wishes.
McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher posted a carousel of images and penned the caption: “Happy birthday, mush. Looking forward to standing on stage with you soon.”
Jones shared the sweet post on his story, followed by posts that had been made by his followers, including one that contained a rather cryptic message.
It read: “Happy Birthday to someone that can light up a room with just a smile. Hope you have a wonderful day, Danny, you so deserve it.
“Please remember especially today how loved and cared about you are by so many people. Hope you are well; keep smiling that amazing smile.”
Jones also published a quote from another fan who’d cryptically penned: “Happy Birthday, mushy. You will shine again! See you in September,” followed by a heart emoji.
Former I’m A Celebrity co-star Alan Halsall also took to his social media to share the birthday wishes and posted an image of the pair fist-bumping with a King emoji.
His return to social media comes after eagle-eyed fans noticed that Jones had failed to interact with Horsley’s post – not even liking the photo of his son.
The couple was recently spotted out with one another in what looked like a tense conversation as they strolled, drinking their takeaway coffees.
Their meeting comes as it has been claimed the couple are in “crisis talks” as a source told The Mirror: “Everyone would understand why Danny and his wife have been quiet.
“They are likely working through various discussions from the first video that was released alone. With this second video, Danny needs to now speak out.
“Danny’s career should be halted at this point, and he should be big enough to now speak out to everyone and explain what has happened and take some accountability.
“This is unfair to his wife, who seems to have put the family and their marriage first. Who knows if another video will emerge, but being honest is now the only way that this has a chance of resolving itself.”
