
Amanda Owen fans rush to Yorkshire Shepherdess’ defence as she shares scathing admission: ‘Imperfect mother’
Amanda Owen shared a series of sweet photos as she and her children celebrated Mother’s Day on the Ravenseat Farm, but fans were quick to support her when they noticed her social media caption.
The mother-of-nine, 50, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a collection of sweet photos of the Owen children with their mum for the special day.
Owen wrote alongside the post: “A busy, chaotic and disorderly day on the farm. What else could it ever be?”
However, the latter part of her caption sparked concern as it read: “A perfect Mothers Day for an imperfect mother. #yorkshire #shepherdess #farm #mothersday #mother #children #family #nevergiveup #keepgoing.”
Fans immediately rushed to the comments section to defend Owen on her parenitng.
One wrote: “Less of the imperfect mother…….. so many kids would benefit from being raised by you in those surroundings. Happy Mother’s Day Amanda, I just know your kids spoilt you in their own unique ways.”
“Are [you] joking? The patience you have and the way u speak to them is beautiful…why they have all turned out as they have…because they have wonderful parents,” a second argued.
“You have the best family Amanda and that’s credit to you and Clive,” a third Instagram user shared.

Another assured her: “It looks wonderful Amanda – and who is ever perfect – what I love seeing in your family is loads of love.”
Someone else protested: “You are perfect mother for me. Every time i watch your any farm program i feel your positive energy towards your children even i can feel it xxxx.”
“These pictures make the best up to date gallery of the family. Stunning children growing up into adults -you deserve to be proud of them all,” another commented. (sic)
The snaps display a glimpse into Owens’ day, with the first photo showing three of her daughters bringing her a tray of breakfast alongside some daffodils in a jar.
In other photos, Owen smiled in a series of different selfies alongside several of her children.
Among them was 13-year-old Sydney, who has featured recently in several of Owens’ online updates as he has now left mainstream school in order to work on the farm with him mother alongside his studies from home.
Owen recently told fans how the teenager is now being homeschooled, with previous posts showing the two working on the farm together.
Last week, Owen shared the teenager had been left “embarrassed” following an incident on the farm.
In a video clip, she stood with Sydney and explained: “Now listen, we came here didn’t we to get the micro-digger that mother had bogged at the moor and the tracks had fallen off and what did you say?” she probed.
“That we won’t be able to get them on,” Sydney sheepishly confessed.
“You said that we won’t be able to get the tracks back on,” Owen repeated.
She went on: “And I was like, ‘Come on Syd, be a bit more positive,’ and…”
“Tracks are back on,” the teenager shared, to which Owen added: “He’s back on track aren’t you, Syd? He’s embarrassed now.”
